To be a diverse and inclusive workplace is important, but what this means and how it comes to life varies widely from one company to the next. At sa.global, our culture has helped us form a truly inclusive, cohesive work environment.

We have striven to promulgate a positive culture of inclusivity – supporting all our employees of all backgrounds, genders, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, education, and skills, and embracing unique ideas, perspectives, and experiences. Today, we are a team of 700 employees, across 25 countries, based out of 100+ cities, speaking 40+ languages. Hiring such a diverse set of people has always helped our clients as it brings new points of view to problem solving and productivity – a fact that has been evident in our large implementation projects that involved people from across the globe, communicating and collaborating on a shared objective.

Inclusion to us also revolves around the day-to-day interactions between employees, managers, leaders, peers, and teams, driving the spirit of working WITH the leaders versus working FOR them. This mindset supports both senior and junior employees, creating a sense of belonging for all. We recognize each person’s unique strength and how it can be leveraged to increase individual contribution, team collaboration, and client value.

inclusive workplaceOur holistic approach to building an inclusive workplace is also visible in the women in leadership roles in the organization. This begins with our Management Board, which for a welcome change to most companies in our industry comprises 75% women. The theme progresses through the company where we have multiple geographies headed by women. Our India office, where traditionally in the IT sector, the gender divide is skewed, has 45:55 ratio. All of this is through accident and not design. THAT is the key. Inclusion and diversity are a part and parcel of who we are.

While we have embraced the diversity of our teams, we are also proud of our client diversity. A global organization, we have worked with over 2000 clients in 80 countries. Our diverse clients span many industries (legal, finance, healthcare, construction, media and advertising, manufacturing, retail, aviation, research, and more) and include local and global businesses, large conglomerates as well as small, niche companies.

Our culture is a culmination of our priorities, values, and behaviors. And it is this culture that is helping us shift the diversity needle and form a truly inclusive, cohesive work environment.
